This project explored motion graphics by creating a seamless looping animation of an apple dropping into frame. The idea stemmed from my mom cutting bunny-shaped apples for me while I was thinking of what to do for this assignment, which inspired me to bring that playful feeling into motion. The goal was to experiment with timing, repetition, and visual rhythm to produce an engaging and hypnotic loop.

The prompt was to design a short looping animation (800×600 and 1920×1080 formats) that communicated clarity, visual rhythm, and smooth repetition. The main challenge was making the loop feel continuous and natural without obvious jumps or cuts.
Research: Looked at examples of GIF loops, kinetic illustrations, and fruit/food motion studies to understand weight, gravity, and rhythm.
Ideation: Sketched simple storyboard frames of an apple falling and bouncing. I drew on the memory of bunny-shaped apple slices my mom prepare in the moment of thinking of an idea for this assignment.
The final animation is a minimal, clean looping GIF of a red apple dropping from the top of the frame splitting into apple bunnies jumping away and disappearing . The design choice to keep the background neutral emphasizes the fruit’s color and motion. The loop is short and fluid, which makes it effective for web or social display.
